Logic Confessions of a Dangerous Mind is laced with notable tracks that could be lined up as the Maryland rapper's next single, but his collaboration with Gucci Mane on "Icy" is catchy enough to garner some radio play. The track is produced by Logic, Kajo, and 6ix, and throughout both Logic and Gucci flex on folks by rapping about status, money, and women.
Even with all of the flexing, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind carries a theme of self-reflection as Logic slyly criticizes our social media-driven culture. He recently told Hard Knock TV that there are plenty of artists who spout "Peace, Love, and Positivity" messages, but he wants to be one that shares more of himself as to why those three ideologies are important. "By opening yourself in a way that you don't want to for a fan or a hater or whatever to say, 'This is why I spread this message so much.' Because I'm being told that I'll never be some of my great inspirations and friends. That I won't be on that level when I f*ckin' am. Airing it out and putting it out there, but then ending it with none of it matters."
Quotable Lyrics
I am a good man, how 'bout that?
No way in hell I'm defined by the stat
Smokin' that pack, let me get it back
Let me get up in it, let me hit it like that
If you wanna come and get it with the RattPack
Like ayy, I'ma be here forever and a day
I be at the Grammy party with Jay and Bey
Oh shit, yeah, that's me
