Tekashi 6ix9ine's album release has been postponed due to his legal issues. DUMMY BOY was set to drop on November 23. After his label, as well as his collaborators, confirmed the holdup, Murda Beatz suggested he might leak the project. The producer uploaded the record's cover art with a caption that insinuated temptation: "I HAVE THE ALBUM SHOULD I....."
It seems like DUMMY BOY may have actually been leaked today, appearing on a "6ix9ineshop" website. Tech-savvy fans can find the unreleased tracks with a quick internet search.
The main reason for the delay was caused by the "STOOPID" rapper's legal issues. He is currently being held in a general population prison for racketeering charges. The entertainer is also said to be receiving special treatment. After being transferred to a different prison, legal authorities reportedly cleared the dormitory of its usual inhabitants and replaced the lot with 11 "docile" prisoners. This particular dormitory is usually reserved for known informants, dirty cops, child predators, and celebrity inmates like Tekashi.
Tekashi's future is in jeopardy not only because of this federal case but also because the artist had already been placed on probation before his arrest for gang-related crimes. His freedom was labeled as contingent to good behavior sustained over the next four years.
