News of Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson's split has remained a constant media fixture since it was first announced earlier this month. The couple had gained a large following, with their respective fan bases heralding the seemingly unexpected pairing. Throughout their whirlwind romance, the pair shared their feelings through various social media posts, tattoos, and a joint red-carpet appearance.
Since it was confirmed that the two had called off their engagement, Davidson appears to have reduced the number of work engagements on his schedule. He recently missed a performance at Temple University where he was slated to headline the school's Comedy Night Live and was ultimately replaced by fellow comedian and "Pitch Perfect" actor, Adam Devine. Davidson did, however, honour a commitment to perform at a benefit with Judd Apatow this past weekend. During the benefit, Davidson jokingly asked, "Does anybody have any open rooms? Looking for a roommate?” He also quipped about covering up tattoos, several which he got in honour of Grande, “Um, I’ve been covering a bunch of tattoos, that’s fun,” he said. “I’m f–king zero for two in the tattoo [department]. Yeah, I’m afraid to get my mom tattooed on me, that’s how bad it is.”
Recently, a representative from Saint Louis University announced on their Facebook page, that Davidson will no longer be making an appearance at the school today. “Due to personal reasons, Pete Davidson’s appearance at SLU has been cancelled,” the post read. “Stay tuned for more information about another great speaker!”
