I mean, Soulja Boy's comeback wasn't as triumphant as Tyga's, but still, the rapper made his way back on our radars in 2018. After his rant on Tyga went viral this weekend, Soulja Boy returned to Instagram Live to share another hot take.
In an attempt to recreate his hilarious Instagram Live rant about Tyga, Soulja Boy hit the social media platform to air-out Kanye West. Soulja Boy decided to compare his accomplishments to Kanye West's before concluding that 'Ye never sold a video game console.
"Kanye West? Yo, the n***a that's crying about Drake on Twitter every week," he said on his livestream. "The n***a that came out with Yeezys? N***a I came out with a video game console! Kanye West ain't never came out with no fucking video game console. He talk about he Walt Disney... Then why you ain't do nothin' like that n***a? All you did was kiss a couple n***as ass at Louis Vuitton and Adidas and came out with a couple of goofy ass pairs of tennis shoes."
Soulja Boy then went onto explain how he's the reason why Kanye West is as confident as he is.
"I'm the reason Kanye West act like why [sic] he act. I'm the reason Kanye act cocky, cause you know why? When I first got on with 'Crank That Soulja Boy,' and I was 16-years-old, and I had the No. 1 song in the country, and I went x10 platinum, Kanye West was standing outside my motherfucking van looking like he wanted to meet me, and I didn't know who the fuck he was," he said.
He continued to explain how his manager introduced 'Ye as "Jay-Z's artist" and urged big Soulja to meet him. "I said, 'I don't give a fuck. Get out my face.' And then my manager said, 'You can't do that bro, he's an artist this is MTV awards, say hi to Kanye...'I said, 'Yo man I don't give a fuck about no damn Kanye, I got the No. 1 song in the world, n***a.'"
Soulja Boy was one of the few people who wasn't sold on Kanye West at the time. The rapper continued to explain how "Kanye is great now," but insisted that ever since that moment at the MTV Awards, Kanye West has been "acting like he got an attitude."
