A series of nondescript social media posts on Tupac Shakur's social media accounts led many to believe a posthumous album was on its way this afternoon (Saturday), but alas we got something very different. All the hoopla amounted to this: a Tupac merch drop inspired by his Greatest Hits album in 1998.
But a week ago, Tupac fans were alerted to a collaboration between his estate and Marvel Studios, the product line incorporating imagery from both the Black Panther franchise and of the rappers' likeness. Fast forward to this week, the 20th anniversary of his Greatest Hits collection, and we have ourselves yet another capsule collection of clothing inspired by the late rapper.
As you can see, Tupac's estate is selling a bunch of products including a vinyl re-issue of the Greatest Hits album, graphic hoodies, T-shirts, baseball caps, and more, all of which can be purchased at Tupac's official online shop.
If you were expecting something like a posthumous album, I regret to inform you, that simply isn't the case. But don't let that dampen your spirits. How's about a little "Thug Passion" to see you through. Remember, that's equal parts Alize and Champagne. Drink Responsibly.
