Pharrell says he's interested in working with 50 Cent on a project.

In a recent interview, Pharrell revealed some details of his upcoming album, and as always the talented producer has several projects on the go.  Turns out there's one legendary name in hip hop he'd like to collaborate with, as he says he'd like to do a project with 50 Cent

Speaking to Complex, Mr. Williams mentioned the G-Unit leader and while he is keen on the idea, he doesn't know if Fif would be on board as some people might not think the two would be a good combo.  "I would love that.  But, you know, he would have to see why that makes sense...for himself. That doesn’t mean it makes the ultimate sense," Pharrell continued, "I mean you know, people could read this and be like, what?! Ew, no. Don’t fuck with Pharrell.'”

While he is known to add vocals, and hooks to many of the projects he's associated with, Pharrell says if he did work with 50 it would be more behind-the-scenes.  The producer goes on to make an analogy of Mario Puzo, the man who penned the Godfather books, as he would just oversee the project, "I’d just be Mario Puzo. I don’t have to be Corleone. I don’t have to be in it at all. I could just be the air in the room, which is just the storywriter or the backdrop. Cause he’s the storywriter."

We don't know if we'll ever see the two collab, but it's certainly interesting.  Do you think Pharrell and 50 Cent would mesh well?
