Post Malone and Swae Lee individually have successful track records on the Billboard charts. Although they've collaborated in the past, "Sunflower" is their biggest one to date. Partially due to the mainstream success they attained in 2018, the single was an instant hit on radio and on streaming services. The two of them have previously topped the charts with their own endeavors, but today, the two land another number one single with "Sunflower."
"Sunflower" debuted at number 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 and fluctuated in and out of the top 10, but now, Swae Lee and Post Malone secure the top spot on the chart with the single. The song was released on October 18th as part of the Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse and clearly caught more of a buzz over the past few weeks, including the holiday season.
The #1 position on the Billboard Hot 100 isn't a foreign place for Swae Lee or Post Malone. The two artists have racked up a few #1 singles over the past few years. Swae Lee landed the number one spot with Rae Sremmurd's "Black Beatles" and Travis Scott's "SICKO MODE." As for Posty, both "Rockstar" ft. 21 Savage and "Psycho" ft. Ty Dolla $ign both held down the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100.
Post Malone and Swae Lee are certified hit-makers. Hopefully, we get more heat from them in the future.
