Promo billboards for Lil Wayne's "Carter V" have started to pop up around NYC.

It looks like promotional billboards for Lil Wayne’s Carter V album have started to pop up around certain areas in NYC this week. After Wayne announced that his forever-waited album would finally be dropping this Friday, various ads & billboards have been surfacing around the Manhattan area in New York City Wednesday.

Like we’ve seen, these promo covers consist of a red V on a black background with a white goat in the corner, alluding to Wayne being the “greatest of all time.”

The billboard strategy isn’t anything new to Wayne either. Not only was there a fake billboard that Jim Jones stirred up earlier this Summer, but back in 2014, numerous billboards to promote the then Carter V was popping up in New Orleans and Atlanta. While those were eventually taken down after the album never came, that shouldn't be the problem this time around.

Peep the various billboards popping up around NYC (below), and be sure to check back at midnight tonight to hear the full album. In the meantime, check out our recent article on Weezy right here, which follows his reign from child prodigy to goat contender.
