Fortnite, the biggest game on the planet, has managed to stay relevant for quite a while now and doesn't seem to be going away any time soon. Their trick, it seems, is to just keep the onslaught of new content–whether cosmetic or actual content–coming at an uninterrupted pace.
Yesterday, with a cheery "heya folks," Epic Games has announced their latest event, 14-days of Christmas themed content for the Battle Royal and Save the World game modes:"What better way to celebrate a great year of Fortnite than with a Fortnight of Fortnite? Our 14 days of Fortnite event kicks off in Battle Royale and Save the World on December 19."
For those of you who don't have a calendar in front of you, that's today. What can you expect from the new event? In Battle Royale, you'll be able to "pick up a Snowball Launcher or hide within a holiday-lit Legendary Bush," while "a new challenge with a new free reward" will be released "every single day" of the 14. There will also, of course, be cosmetic upgrades available in the store.
In Save The World, there will be themed enemies (new and old) that Epic calls "the holiday husks," as well as a new holiday quest every day. In the store there will be "a free Upgrade Llama pinata" each day of the fortnight and, "around December 25," there will be "a free Smorgasbord Llama for a few days."
