The acclaimed hip-hop label Rap-A-Lot Records has found a new distributor, moving from INgrooves to Sony RED. The label, which has been around for 27 years, announced the exclusive multi-year deal today, which will include physical and digital distribution in the United States and Canada.
The founder of Rap-A-Lot Records, James Prince, stated on the new endeavor, "It's an honor to be in business with RED Distribution. I'm looking forward to working with Bob Morelli and Alan Becker and merging the experienced staffs to create a lot more success in the industry."
Upcoming business for the label includes a new album from Texas native Bun B come October, the LP will include features from Rick Ross and 2 Chainz. As well the label is working on the career of Z-Ro. Past artists on their roster included Scarface, Devin The Dude, Yukmouth, Do or Die, Slim thug, Pimp C and more.
