Since the release of Dummy Boy, we've heard a single musical appearance from Tekashi 6ix9ine in the form of a feature on A Boogie wit da Hoodie's album. The rainbow-haired rapper is currently locked up on racketeering charges and as he awaits trial and sentencing, he's keeping himself busy with the pen. According to TMZ, the rapper's creative juices have been flowing at an all-time high.
It's rare to hear about Tekashi 6ix9ine these days. Each passing day reduces his clout, which was built off a strong social media presence. He's still racking up streams but the young man can't capitalize on the notoriety he's built so early in his career. Despite his current situation, sources say that 6ix9ine is spending a lot of his time working on music. He may not have access to the same resources in jail but he's got a pen and some paper, writing as many lyrics as possible for his next album. The outlet also notes that he's been working on some ideas in regards to production and music videos.
Despite his possible life sentence, which will be decided in September, Tekashi appears to be in good spirits. He's reportedly been working out frequently and is even healthier now than before he got locked up. TMZ also writes that the rapper is listening intently to other inmates' stories and learning from their mistakes should he become free.
