Rockie Fresh has been grinding heavily over the years, but we've yet to receive an official debut album from the rapper. The Chicago native hasn't dropped a whole lot of music this year, but it looks like he has some new music coming soon. Rostrum Records announced that they signed Rockie Fresh to their label fora multi-album record deal which includes his studio debut.
Rockie Fresh is the newest member of the Rostrum Records family, the label announced yesterday. The rapper, who was previously signed to Rick Ross' Maybach Music Group, is set to release his debut album through the label. The project includes the lead single, "No Satisfaction" which he dropped to coincide with the announcement. His debut album is set to feature Chris Brown, 24hrs and more.
“Rockie has long been an artist I’ve admired,” Rostrum founder and president, Benjy Grinberg, said to Billboard in a statement. “And I’m proud that we can be a part of history in releasing his official debut album. Over the course of making this project, I have gotten to know Rockie well. He’s not only an incredible artist but also a wonderful person. It’s really special when you find both of those qualities in someone."
Rockie added, “I’ve always had a lot of respect for Benjy and the system he’s built at Rostrum. Now that we are working together, I fully understand why he’s been so successful in building the careers of some of my favorite artists. His trust in my vision has allowed me to be in a great place while creating this upcoming album. I would say that the future is very bright for both Rostrum and myself."
