Roskilde 2019 is the forthcoming edition of a Danish musical festival that employs a non-profit philosophy, something which has contributed to its reputation across Western Europe, and the World over. Those fortunate enough to make the trip in June-July of next year will be granted a unique opportunity to take in a wide range of musical genres, including yes, I said it: Hip-hop represented by Houston rapper Travis Scott.
Right off the heels of a record-setting 2018, Travis Scott headlines of mostly European-based "progressive artists," with a few selections coming the way of the USA and even South America.

The lead organizer for the festival, Anders Wahrén, had this to say about Travis' anointment at the head of the pack: "Travis Scott is one of the best live artists in modern hip-hop, and he’s more than ready to take on our iconic Orange Stage, strongly on his way to becoming an icon himself. Bring on summer already!"
Tickets for the festival go on sale at the end of November and will be made available at the onset via the festival's official webpage (right here). All the proceeds from ticket sales go directly to an "arts & culture" charity set up by the organizers.
