Former comedian and television personality Bill Cosby continues to take L's, even after being put behind bars for sexual assault allegations dating back decades. Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis, the law firm who once served as his legal counsel, reported this week that he owes them some $282,948.40 in legal fees. This figure is in addition to the firm's pending lawsuit against the comedian, which accounts for services rendered dating from August 2017 to August 2018.
Cosby would go on to seek counsel elsewhere in the form of Tom Mesereau, a one-time lawyer for Michael Jackson, though this arrangement also proved damaging. In addition to these outstanding costs, Cosby reportedly owes $25,000 as a result of the sexual assault case, as well as the prosecution's bill. The man once hailed for his stand-up and work on "The Cosby Show" now finds himself facing a seemingly endless supply of misfortune.
