Kyrie gives his take on the Steph Curry moon landing joke.

Stephen Curry has already admitted that he was joking when he said he didn't believe astronauts ever landed on the moon. He even accepted an invitation to tour Johnson Space Center in Houston and educate himself firsthand.

That said, it's still a topic of conversation in NBA circles and who better to weigh in than the league's resident conspiracy theorist, Kyrie Irving. The Celtics guard had plenty to say about the situation in general - as seen in the video embedded below.

"Curry says he doesn't believe in the moon, it's on CNN, and they say we're just jocks, we're just athletes, but it's on your channel," Irving said, per Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe. "We're (thinkers) but you don't want us to be that, so whomever 'you' is, I don't know what that mold is."

Curry explained to ESPN last week that his comments made during an appearance on The Ringer's "Winging It" podcast were not at all serious.

“One thousand percent. One thousand percent. Obviously I was joking when I was talking on the podcast. I was silently protesting how stupid it was that people actually took that quote and made it law as, ‘Oh my God, he’s a fake moon landing truther,’ whatever you want to call it, yada, yada, yada. So I was silently protesting that part about it, how the story took a life of its own."

Curry continued, "But in terms of the reaction that I’ve gotten, I am definitely going to take [NASA] up on their offer. I am going to educate myself firsthand on everything that NASA has done and shine a light on their tremendous work over the years. And hopefully people understand that education is power, informing yourself is power. For kids out there that hang on every word that we say, which is important, understand that you should not believe something just because somebody says it. You should do your homework and understand what you actually believe. But I’m going to go to NASA and I’m going to enjoy the experience whole-heartedly.”
