Two Jay Z fans got completely out of hand in Houston, Texas, when attempting to procure tickets for Jay's "Magna Carta Holy Grail" tour. The two female fans, Denitra Sherrelle Green and Cessica Desha Darden, are currently in custody for robbing a man of his eight Jay Z tickets and then, as if that weren't enough, running him over.
As court documents indicate, a man was unable to attend Jay Z's concert and so he posted an ad on Craig's List in order to sell his eight tickets. After hearing back from someone, he agreed to meet the buyer at a local Starbucks on December 15th. The victim met the two 20-year old girls outside of the coffee shop because they said they could not leave a baby in their car alone.
As the man told the police, he approached the passenger's window to speak to Darden, while Darden's baby was in the backseat and Green was driving. He told the police that as he leaned through the window to show the tickets to Darden, Green accelerated the car. The man got stuck in the passenger window, and attempted to lift his feet off the ground and hold on to the door as the car drove away. He asked Green to stop driving but she wouldn't, while Darden kicked his arm to force him to let go. Eventually he fell off and the car proceed to run him over.
The victim was left with broken left arm, broken right hand, broken right leg, a torn right knee and severe road rash to his face and body-- and no Jay Z tickets.
Police say that there were people who witnessed the man being dragged down Dunham, and that one did write down a license plate number. The victim picked out the two suspects from a photo line-up, and apparently an investigator found Darden and Green enjoying themselves at Jay Z's concert, having used the stolen tickets.
Both girls were charged with aggravated robbery, bond was set at $30,000 each.
