In an ironic twist of fate, Pusha-T has chosen stripes over checks. The G.O.O.D. Music VP is following in Kanye's footsteps in securing the bag from Adidas HQ. TMZ has learned that Pusha-T has effectively put pen to paper on a multi-year endorsement deal with the company, said to be worth in the upper millions. In exchange, King Push will help the company develop products and content, and help increase their already far-reaching pull in hip-hop households across the Globe.
Kanye West was perhaps the first rapper to develop an even keel relationship with Adidas when he chose the sportswear company as the vessel for his Yeezy brand. If you'll recall, Kanye once said he was "single highest paid person in footwear," at the expense of his Airness Michael Jordan.
Pusha-T's deal with Adidas, while memorable in its own right, isn't the first time both parties have done business (dating back to 2012). Early reports indicate that Pusha-T will be heavily involved in the EQT footwear series. Pusha-T, as you know, already has his own signature sneaker, itself an EQT model. After messing up Drake's "Adidon" rollout, the Sportswear company was left with Pusha-T to shoulder the load. Can the ex-Clipse rapper help Adidas dig themselves out of their sales funk?
