While the DC Extended Universe may be coming to an end, it seems as if filmmakers are beginning to hit a stride where the beloved brand is concerned. WB CEO Kevin Tsujihara explained the method behind the "You’re seeing much more focus on individual experiences around individual characters. That’s not to say we won’t at some point come back to that notion of a more connected universe. But it feels like that’s the right strategy for us right now." On that note, Patty Jenkins' Wonder Woman and James Wan's Aquaman were both favorably received, both commercially and critically. Now, the upcoming Shazam hopes to follow suit when it drops on April 5th.

Today, a new trailer for the upcoming Shazam flick has arrived, featuring a closer examination at the film's overall vibe. A notably light-hearted affair, open to a little bit of self-deprecation and plenty of effects-driven action, Shazam looks to be the most comedic DC film thus far. With performances from Zachary Levi, Mark Strong, and Asher Angel, Shazam looks to follow an "almost 15-year old" teenager, blessed with the ability to gain superpowers with the mere utterance of "Shazam!" Naturally, all manner of antics ensue. Check out the latest trailer for Shazam!, complete with a reimagined Eminem classic, below.
