Several singles have been released by Pivot Gang, one of the premier collectives in Chicago. For years, we've known Chicago to be one of the top breeding grounds when it comes to hip-hop. It's not even all about the Southside either. Pivot is based out of the West side of Chicago, bringing Saba, Joseph Chilliams, MFn Melo, and plenty of others together to create a stable unit. Saba has experienced major success as a solo artist but he made it a priority to get back with his homies to drop their debut album as Pivot Gang.
You Can't Sit With Us may sound like an exclusive project from the title alone but don't be mistaken -- this album is for everybody. The group comes through with over a dozen new songs to enjoy, including appearances from the rising Kari Faux, Smino, Mick Jenkins, Femdot, Jean Deaux, Sylvan Lacue and others. This is exactly what we wanted from a Pivot Gang project. It's chill and exciting at the same time. It can be used as background music or switched to the foreground when you're hanging with the crew. We have a feeling this one will be in rotation for a while.
What do you think of the new Pivot Gang album?
