People are falling over while trying to distance themselves from R. Kelly. It's a mad dash to back away from the R&B legend since the Lifetime series Surviving R. Kelly dropped. The docuseries brought to light decades of alleged sexual abuse and misconduct, much of which the public was already aware of. The fact that most of the nation already knew about these allegations, but let it slide, has become the main facet of the ongoing conversation. Dame Dash recently sat down with Nick Cannon, and claimed that he looked the other way when it came to Jay-Z and R. Kelly collaborating. For those who may not know, Dash was dating Aaliyah at the time of her passing.
Memphis Bleek, and longtime friend of Jay-Z and Dame Dash, is setting the record straight. According to Bleek, Dash never tried to distance himself from the situation at all. "Everyone knows I fuck with Dame Dash, this is my guy, Roc-A-Fella history," states Bleek as a precursor. "But somebody gotta tell him, he's buggin'. You buggin'. And then you gonna really say, you wasn't there with niggas? You was opposed to it? You fucking lying." This is sure to stir up some bad blood, and Jay-Z has been characteristically silent about the entire situation.
