Drake's OVO pop-up shops in Toronto, New York and L.A. were open yesterday, giving out Nothing Was The Same gear "compliments of the company," however, the fans waiting outside the Alife store in NYC got cut off when a fight reportedly broke out outside the store.
Complex reports on the incident, saying that at 2:30 PM (the pop-up shop opened at 1 PM) an Alife employee walked down the lined-up crowd and said that a fight had broke out in front of the store, and everyone needed to back up or they wouldn't be receiving the "plenty" of free t-shirts, hoodies etc. that were left. Another Alife worker contradicted this, saying that "The Drake thing is off."
Following this eight cops, four cop cars and an ambulance arrived on the scene, however they denied a fight saying that there were no more shirts left. The police proceeded to usher the crowd away, while still maintaining no fight had happened, however, Complex found Instagram footage of said fight that didn't happen. Another Alife worker also said that the fight was a rumor, and they just ran out of t-shirt so had to clear the line.
