A.D. won't be playing in back-to-backs and will have his minutes reduced.

The New Orleans Pelicans will allow Anthony Davis to play out the remainder of the season despite his trade demands, but the All Star center won't see as much playing time moving forward.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Pels don't intend to let Davis play in any back-to-back games and his minutes will drop from the 37 per game he was seeing before his finger injury.

As yesterday's NBA trade deadline came and went, the Pelicans released a statement regarding their plans for Davis for the remainder of the season.

The official statement reads:

"Anthony Davis will play the remainder of the 2018-19 season for the New Orleans Pelicans. A number of factors contributed to this decision. Ultimately, Anthony made it clear to us that he wants to play and he gives our team the best opportunity to win games. Moreover, the Pelicans want to preserve the integrity of the game and align our organization with NBA policies. We believe Anthony playing upholds the values that are in the best interest of the NBA and its fans. We look forward to seeing Anthony in a Pelicans uniform again.

Davis, 25, has missed nine games with a finger injury but was cleared to practice this week. The Pelicans, 24-31, will host the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight and AD is expected to be in the lineup.
