"Fortnite" gets spooky.

Who doesn't enjoy Halloween? At worse, you get to avoid children by turning your porch lights off and eating discounted candy all night. At best, you're enjoying a costume party with attractive individuals, a dope DJ, and haunting decorations. With the spooky holiday soon approaching, video games are releasing their Halloween themed packages for festive gamers.

Fortnite
is ready to get into the holiday spirit. Halloween marks the beginning of the end, the start of the holiday season and the ushering in of 2019. Developer Epic Games gave gamers several Halloween themed goodies last year, including a truly amazing pumpkin rocket launcher and a new skin. Fortnite has been teasing the arrival of Fortnitemares, and gamers have discovered the concrete drop date for the event.

As reported by Comicbook.comFortnitemares is set to launch on October 24th. The news broke after the appearance of an official PS4 event page for the game. The page ominously states that, "Darkness has risen" before promising prizes for gamers. Details for the event are scarce, but gamers believe Fortnitemares include a limited time game mode, a new skin, and if we're lucky, the return of the pumpkin rocket launcher. Get those scary squad wins in.
