Slowly but surely, "GotG 3" is coming.

Marvel Studios is a well-oiled machine at this point. One kink in the system won't stop the show. That's why when James Gunn got fired from Disney and Marvel for old tweets, comic fans knew that Guardians of the Galaxy 3 would make it to theaters regardless. The last installment teased the appearances of Adam Warlock, a powerful entity that has defeated Thanos in the comics. Marvel must have big plans for him and the continued storyline of the celestials (which will tie into the Eternals plot rumored for Spider-Man: Far From Home). Although Guardians 3 may have gotten pushed back, it looks like it's still on track to get launched during phase 4.

Karen Gillan, who plays Nebula in the series, recently spoke with People and admitted she's seen the script. “Our director won’t be with us any longer, but we are excited to continue the Guardians of the Galaxy story and keep delivering to the fans,” she revealed. “That’s the most important thing. I don’t have any details as to when [the next Guardians film will come out], but there’s a script in existence. I may have had a little teeny peek, but I can’t say anything.” Fans are praying that James Gunns' script is still being used.
