Anthony Davis
Anthony Davis has been out of the lineup amongst trade rumors.

The NBA trade deadline has passed us by and Anthony Davis is still a member of the New Orleans Pelicans. It was made clear just last week that the star wanted out of New Orleans and that the Los Angeles Lakers were at the top of his list of teams he wanted to be traded to. In the end, the Pelicans decided not to move him. Davis has been out with a finger injury but has been kept out of the lineup to protect him during the trade deadline period. Now, the Pelicans are re-activating Davis and explained the decision on Thursday.

Statement via ESPN:

"A number of factors contributed to this decision. Ultimately, Anthony made it clear to us that he wants to play, and he gives our team the best opportunity to win games. Moreover, the Pelicans want to preserve the integrity of the game and align our organization with NBA policies. We believe Anthony playing upholds the values that are in the best interest of the NBA and its fans. We look forward to seeing Anthony in a Pelicans uniform again soon."

The New Orleans Pelicans are 13th in the Western Conference with a record of 24-31. They will be back in action tonight against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
