Frank Ocean graced the social media feeds of almost everybody when his GQ feature dropped and the photos showed him looking all kinds of cool. Among the many topics he discussed, such as his vices, his move of turning his Instagram public, his album Blonde and his best night of 2018, the "Nikes" singer also chatted about his skincare routine.
"I feel like men just go to sleep," he said. "They may wash their face or they don't even bother—they go to sleep with the day face on. You really need to do a gentle wash and put a night moisturizer on."
Although may readers may have been informed on the good tip, Frank's mom reminded him of the one thing he left out - sun block - duh!
Frank shared a screenshot of a text message from his mother, informing him that she loved the interview but he failed to mention a necessary step to anyone's skincare routine. "Umm. Loved [...] the interview buuuuut, what about your suncare component," she wrote. "Gorgeous shoot though. Congrats on that."
Frank's mom has been there many times when it comes to some useful tips.
"Man, listen…some days, like today, I feel very beautiful. But some days, like in the winter, when I wear a lot of knit hats, my skin doesn't like that," he added. "My mom told me years ago that you gotta get somebody to stitch the silk inside the lining of the cap so it doesn't irritate your skin, 'cause your skin is sensitive. I didn't listen to my mom, but I really do believe in a night cream.
