Cardi B's Rolling Loud performance was big for a couple of reasons. Firstly, this was the first time the festival was headlined by a female artist. Second, Offset crashed her set for an infamous apology. Everybody and their mama has an opinion about what went down. Lil Rel added his voice to the public sphere when he guest hosted Ebro in the Morning on Hot 97.
"First of all, you can't be showing up at people's job like that. You know what I mean? Especially a Black woman." He then continues with an example for regular degular folk: "If she worked at UPS, and he showed up at her job, he would've got tackled and arrested."
Rel also took jabs at Offset's use of the word "bruh" when talking to his wife.
"I don't mind him trying to get back with her. If he loves his girl, he should do whatever he can but go old school, man. Get a boom box. If we would've come out the crowd, that would've been cool."
The crew also broke down Kanye West's beef from their perspective. Rel expressed how much of what Kanye posts online might find a better home on paper: "Someone needs to take his phone away. Buy him a journal[...]I think we need to stop using social media as a personal journal."
