Rico Nasty's Fader-produced documentary premieres next week.

Rico Nasty is well on her way to making her own mark, on her own accord. Her efforts have been made all the more easy, many thanks to a documentary commissioned by the Fader. The project titled Countin' Up is set to premiere at Baby's All Right in Rico's adoptive home of Brooklyn on February 11th.

Countin' Up documents the rise of Rico Nasty all the way back to her humble beginnings in Maryland. Not only that, Rico spends a good portion of the doc, dispensing the parental insight that she's picked up along the way. For those who don't know, Rico Nasty lost the father of her son while she was pregnant. She would later speak on the matter in the song "Brandon" off Tales of Tacobella in 2017.

Therefore, Rico Nasty's documentary is comprised of concert footage, backstage clips, as well as intimate scenes involving her first-born child Cam. The screening runs from 7 pm to 10 pm next Monday - Rico fans are free to RSVP on a pop-up webpage specifically set up for the one-time event (right here). If you're in Brooklyn and can spare the time, this might be your one shot at an intimate portrait of a seemingly private person/artist, within the bounds of an arranged Q&A session. Otherwise, the documentary will be online as of the 12th - the very next day.
