This past week Adidas has been releasing a ton of information on their 2019 Chinese New Year collection. So far we've seen two Pharrell collabs, an Adidas Superstar, an UltraBoost and a Yung 96. Now, Adidas is giving its ultra-popular lifestyle sneaker, the NMD R1, a special CNY inspired version.

As far as Chinese New Year shoes go, this is exactly what you would expect from the NMD. Dressed in black boost and an all black primeknit upper, this shoe is extremely clean. It also comes with red three stripes on the side and a Chinese dragon mask embroidered into the heel. Red is also used on the Trefoil branding on the tongue.
