Bill Cosby has been transferred to a new section of prison.

One of the last updates on Bill Cosby was that he was pretending to be his Cosby Show character Dr. Cliff Huxtable in prison and the inmates were told to just play along with him. New reports from CNN now detail how the 81-year-old is not living lavishly behind bars and has been moved to the general population and has a single cell with a cellmate.

Bill, who is legally blind, is being "treated just the same as any other inmate," Amy Worden, press secretary for the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections told the publication. Bill was previously being held in a single cell where he didn't have access to move around more freely. His new residence allows him to spend time in the gym, library, or a classroom for several hours of the day.

Bill's spokesperson, Andrew Wyatt, said Bill compares himself to Malcolm X, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and Nelson Mandela who have "helped him prepare for this chapter of his life."

"He said they told him that if he was going to continue to fight for civil rights, something like this was bound to happen and he's been prepared for it and he knows he's in prison not for rape, but for infidelity," Andrew explained. "He knows he's innocent and he's kept his head up."
