This might be the most prolific year in Kanye West's career. Aside from producing albums for Pusha T, Teyana Taylor and Nas, he also released his solo project, Ye, the Kid Cudi collaborative project, Kids See Ghosts and this weekend, he's preparing to release his ninth solo studio album, Yandhi. However, the title of his upcoming project could possibly be just the beginning of future endeavors.
According to The Blast, Kanye West recently trademarked "Yandhi." The use of the name is meant to market everything from jewelry to underwear and everything in between. Yeezy filed the documents to trademark the name last week on September 19, ten days before the release of his forthcoming album. In addition to underwear and jewelry, 'Ye also included footwear and shoes in his filing. Will Kanye launch a new sneaker line under Yandhi? It definitely looks like it.
Kanye West hasn't dished out much information on the release of his forthcoming album, but he may have revealed some of the possible collaborators on the project. Yesterday, Ty Dolla $ign shared a photo of Kanye sleeping in the studio which seems like a promising sign we'll hear the "Or Nah" singer on the project. In addition, he's also been spotted in the studio with G Herbo and Tekashi 6ix9ine. Earlier this month, he released the single, "I Love It" with Lil Pump. It's unsure if that'll end up on the project but the song arrived shortly before he announced that he's dropping a new album.
