Will there be a new Thor soon?

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has had a tough time with Thor. His first film was a strong introduction to the character and his brother Loki. Thor: Dark World was ill-conceived though and heavily relied on setting up an Infinity Stone. Thor was spot on in the first Avengers film, but almost everyone failed to deliver a decent performance in Age of Ultron. It wasn't until Thor Ragnarok and Avengers: Infinity War that Thor really became the badass we all wanted to see. That's why this week will be an emotional moment for Thor fans, as Chris Hemsworth has completed his contract with Marvel.

Hemsworth has played Thor for seven years now, and he recently completed his reshoots for Avengers 4 in Atlanta. The actor documented his departure from the Men In Black set (where he and Tessa Thompson are filming a soft reboot of the Will Smith series) in London, to his arrival in Atlanta on social media. He brought Thompson along with him for the ride, which sparked speculation that her Valkyrie character will be returning for Avengers 4 as well. Hemsworth's time on set was brief, which either means he had very little to reshoot, or that Thor will have a smaller part in the upcoming film. My guess is the former, since Thanos and Thor still have a beef to finish. Hopefully, this time, he goes for the head.
