Former Indianapolis Colts punter Pat McAfee has reportedly reached a multi-year deal with the WWE.

McAfee recently served as Kickoff Show analyst on WWE's NXT programming, but he'll have a much bigger role as a contributor now that he has officially signed on with the promotion.

While his contract is media-oriented, McAfee is hoping that he'll get a chance to actually compete in a WWE ring some time in the future.

In a video posted to his twitter account, McAfee explains:

“I signed with the WWE, multiyear deal, on a microphone, doing digital things,” McAfee said. “And however else I can help a company that helped me through a lot of years of my life.”

“If I ever get a chance to get back in the ring, here’s how that whole thing ended in southern West Virginia,” McAfee said before playing a video of himself in the squared circle. “I’m undefeated in the ring.”

McAfee, 31, played in the NFL for eight years as a member of the Indianapolis Colts before retiring in 2016 to pursue an opportunity with Barstool Sports. Says McAfee, “My dream my entire life has been to be in the WWE."
