Jordan Brand reportedly has plans to release a special edition "UNC" Air Jordan 1 this February, as a nod to MJ's alma mater and the NBA All-Star weekend in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Unlike many other Tar Heels-inspired Air Jordans, this particular pair includes hits of obsidian to go along with the traditional white and powder blue design. On top of that, and most notably, the all-new "UNC" 1s are built on a glossy patent leather from heel to toe, as seen in the IG post embedded below.
The kicks are tentatively scheduled to arrive on February 9, which is just one week before the NBA All-Stars invade Charlotte for the 2019 festivities. Unfortunately, rumors suggest the sneakers will be a women's exclusive, meaning they may only be available up to a men's size 10.5.
