Tyga and Kylie Jenner have driven down a long, winding road to get to where they are now. They first met in 2011 when T-Raw performed at Kendall Jenner's 16th birthday party. From then on, you could see that Kylie was smitten with him. They didn't pursue a romantic relationship until years later (when she turned 18) but it appears as though the California rapper may have been a little distracted during their entire timeline that he forgot to pay his taxes. When they broke up for good, he completely forgot to file his taxes again and some are saying it has to do with the stress of his ex-girlfriend getting knocked up by Travis Scott.
The most recent tax lien that Tyga was hit with dates from late August, asking for over $317K based on his 2016 income. The Blast is reporting that he would have filed his taxes in April of 2017, which happens to be the month he and Kylie called it quits for the final time. Weeks after their breakup, Kylie was spotted with Travis Scott for the first time. The life-changing moment in Tyga's life may have distracted him from getting his financial work done. If that's not the case, it probably just became enough of a habit after not doing taxes since 2011 that he decided to just go with the flow.
Thankfully, Tyga has been on a comeback run, releasing some of his best work in years. We're excited to see what's next for the artist as he attempts to turn his legacy around.
