The wrestler was surprised by the backlash.

You may remember a few weeks ago when former WWE-participant Priscilla Kelly disgusted the world after a video of her shoving her used tampon down her opponent's mouth went viral.

Kelly is speaking out about the stunt, saying that she had actually been planning it for months and thought that it was actually quite funny. The wrestler has been on reality TV, and understands what it's like to receive a ton of attention, although she never thought the video would get such a visceral negative reaction.

“I’m not new to the attention – I did a TV show when I was 14 (“My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding”), and I received tons of attention and backlash from, and everything in between from that, so I’m kind of preconditioned to this kind of thing,” Kelly explained to The Shining Wizards podcast. “Obviously, this is on a bigger scale than that was, but still kind of the same context. It’s not even about, ‘Ooh, I want to shock the world.’ I literally just thought it would be funny, and I’ve had the idea for months now. I’ve just been waiting for the right opportunity to use it."

Kelly hasn't performed in the WWE in a while but doesn't feel as though the video will affect her chances of ever making a return.
