If there's one thing we know about the internet it's that things from the past can and will come back to haunt you. This year, there's been a few instances where celebrities have gotten bit in the behind for their older tweets, costing them future opportunities and leading their fans to demand an explanation. In an age where people can gain clout overnight, it's risky to tweet anything semi-controversial. You may know Kelvin Peña as the guy who made a viral video feeding deer in the woods. His content is usually wholesome and funny but when he was 12-years-old, he tweeted out some racist things that have people shaking their heads now.
Peña, or Brother Nature, has issued a public apology regarding tweets that have resurfaced from years ago. The social media star previously wrote hateful messages like "HEIL HITLER," "I hate c**ns" and saying he wants to be like Chris Brown when he grows up so he can "choke and punch" his girlfriend. People dug up some pretty messed up things. Brother Nature tweeted an apology to fans, writing, "I started using Twitter when I was 12 years old, I was very impressionable and was seeking attention. I am sorry to all of the people that I offended and have let down. I apologize for 12-year-old Kelvin and take total responsibility for my words. Everyone changes, everyone learns, everyone makes mistakes."
Many have supported Peña since the tweets leaked, including Lil Yachty who said that he has "big love" for the entertainer. Peña asks his supporters "accept the apology of a young boy" now that he is a man. Check out some of the resurfaced tweets below.
