The past few days Kanye West has caught some flack for his use of the confederate flag on his "Yeezus" tour merchandise.
Kanye previously addressed his use of the flag while on Power 106 in LA, and once more on AMP Radio. Yeezy explained that he was re-claiming the flag as his own by putting it on his tour merch (he's also been seen out and about with the confederate flag emblazoned on his jacket.)
"The Confederate flag represented slavery in a way. That's my abstract take on what I know about it, right? So I wrote the song, 'New Slaves.' So I took the Confederate flag and made it my flag. It's my flag now. Now what you gonna do?"
Q-Tip, who is affiliated with the G.O.O.D Music camp, nonetheless spoke out about Kanye using the flag, voicing his disapproval. The veteran rapper took to Twitter express his opinion on 'Ye's latest fashion endeavor.
"Fuck the Confederate flag," Tip said, adding "I love Kanye, No shots, but my people continue to suffer psychologically from hardships that happened under that banner."
