The Warriors are about to get even scarier.

Despite signing DeMarcus Cousins in the offseason, the Golden State Warriors have been without the star all season due to a lingering Achilles tendon injury from back in January of last year. This past week, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr explained that Cousins is aiming for a January 18th return. Now, according to ESPN, Kerr is talking about what Cousins role will be when he comes back.

"He'll start," Kerr explained to reporters on Thursday. "I'll start him. After that, everything's on the table. We have to figure out what the rotations will look like, how many minutes he can play. We'll have to play around with the minutes, the combinations, the sets."

Kerr has stated that Cousins is thinking about returning on Wednesday, January 16th instead of the 18th, although the latter was a date that was agreed upon by the training staff.

"It was a battle between myself, the training staff, the guys at the top," Cousins said. "Eventually we all got on the same page and we settled for that date."

When Cousins comes back, the Warriors will become even stronger in a conference they have dominated over the last four seasons. Golden State is second in the Western Conference with a record of 27-14.
