His debut EP August has gained Ryan Trey industry and fan attention, and after having his artistic vision co-signed by singer Bryson Tiller, the two have linked up on Trey's single "Nowhere to Run." The recently released accompanying visual for the track has a noir vibe as the two artists are filmed in abandoned areas of downtown, as well as being captured in miscellaneous scenes with artsy backdrops.
The lyrics suggest that both men are doing their best to win the affections of their prospective ladies, but the visual steps away from featuring a bevy of video vixens and instead takes on an artistic, minimal focus, causing viewers to emotionally connect with the haunting visual. "This is my favorite visual so far," Trey told Complex about "Nowhere to Run." "From the colors, to the mannerisms, the movements, and the natural feeling it gives you. People are definitely going to like this one. It's different."
Tiller can't stop singing praises about his 19-year-old collaborator, telling Billboard that he believes Trey could become a heavy-hitter in the industry. "I think Ryan has the potential to become one of the dopest artists in the game," Tiller said. "He’s only 19 and already has so much to say."
