The Pelicans players and coaches are speaking out on the drama.

It's well documented at this point that Pelicans superstar Anthony Davis wants out of New Orleans. While it appears as though he wants to move on to the Los Angeles Lakers, the Pelicans seem reluctant to do business with the purple and gold. Davis has been sitting out for the last eight games and now his coach and some teammates are speaking out about the rumors surrounding his name. Head coach Alvin Gentry told ESPN on Wednesday that no matter what, he's happy with Davis and his play on the court.

"He's a great kid. When he's been on the court, he's given us everything that he has. So no, I don't feel let down by him at all," Gentry said. "Whatever happens is going to happen, and we'll go from there. A lot of the things, we've got no control over anyway. So what we have to do is focus on what we have to get done as a team."

Davis' teammate Jahlil Okafor also spoke to ESPN and had nothing but positive things to say.

"He's like my big brother. He takes care of me. If he has any advice for me, he'll let me know. If he sees anything I can improve on, he'll let me know. That hasn't changed," Okafor explained. "Selfishly, I would love to be by him every day like I have been this year. But at the end of the day, I just want him to be happy. If I'm being selfish, of course, I'm going to say that I want you to be my teammate."

The trade deadline is today at 3 P.M EST so it will be interesting to see if Davis is moved by the end of the day.
