Gucci Mane really hasn't had the best of years in 2013. He's feuded with many of his former affiliates, violated his probation and been arrested, was reportedly dropped from Atlantic Records, just to name of a few of his misadventures. And those misadventures continue with this latest piece of news, which may be the worst bit of news yet-- GuWop is facing up to 20 years in prison on federal gun charges.
We reported over the weekend about how Gucci was ordered to hand over all his guns and ammunitions. In federal court on Tuesday Gucci was charged with two counts of possession of guns as a felon, following two incidents in September when he threatened and showed cops his firearms.
We've been keeping you up to date on the various shenanigans of Gucci, but the federal prosecutor's news release shed more light on the incidents dating back to September-- around the time Gucci was going on his Twitter spree and had been dropped from Atlantic.
"On September 12, 2013, Davis, who was a felon at the time, was found in possession of a firearm," the release said via CNN. "Then, just two days later, on September 14th, he again possessed a firearm different from the earlier gun. On both occasions, Davis displayed the loaded firearm, acted erratically, and made threats to individuals, including police and his attorney."
Each firearm possession charge could result in a maximum sentence of 10 years and a fine of up to $250,000. We'll keep you updated as this unfolds.
