As we inch closer to the end of the year, we look back at a year filled with great albums. However, one person that everyone has been waiting on is 21 Savage. The Atlanta rapper released his debut album Issa over a year ago and we haven't heard much solo music from him since. In fact, he's raked up 1B streams on Spotify without releasing a single song. With his new album getting ready to drop, Spotify shared a new mini-doc on the process behind 21's upcoming album which includes a rare feature from Childish Gambino.
Spotify gives fans a behind-the-scenes look on the process behind 21 Savage's I Am > I Was. However, 21 Savage also shared a snippet of what's apparently his collaboration with Childish Gambino. The snippet doesn't share much of the vocals from Gambino or Savage, but it does include what seems to be the song's hook. Several children are seen in the studio recording the hook together.
21 Savage has yet to reveal the tracklist, but one of the album's producer, Louis Bell, shared it on his Instagram. Bell produced "All My Friends" ft. Post Malone. Bell previously co-produced Post Malone's "Rockstar" ft. 21 Savage. I Am > I Was includes features from Lil Baby, Gunna, ScHoolboy Q, J. Cole and Offset.
21 Savage's upcoming album, I Am > I Was drops this Friday.
