The Adam Levine led Maroon 5 dropped off the visuals for their "Girls Like You" single earlier this year, which was a fan favorite. Much like Drake's "Nice For What," "Girls Like You" features cameo appearances from several prominent women including Tiffany Haddish, Mary J Blige, Ellen DeGeneres, Sarah Silverman, Gal Gabot, Camila Cabello, and Millie Bobby Brown. Cardi B blesses the single with a verse as well, completing the feminine circle of power.
Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown made headlines recently due to her friendship with Drake, but now she's getting additional hip-hop cred. Maroon 5 enlisted the young actress to join them on stage at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee for a performance of "Girls Like You." Instead of just reenacting her cool video appearance, Brown opted to lay down Cardi's verse on the song. She took to Instagram to post videos of her performance after it was complete.
She also posted an Instagram Story where she states, “It was such an amazing night with such incredible people and such good friends and, you know, truly family. It’s such an honor to just be on stage with such talented human beings in fact." She continued on to reveal that she wasn't nervous while emulating Cardi. "I was so comfortable, it was so insane. It was so fantastic, and I had such an amazing time.”
