Federal prosecutors have named Tekashi 6ix9ine as a member of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods during recent legal proceedings. They have released photos they claim to prove his affiliation with the criminal group and justify their request of the suspect's continued stay behind bars while he awaits trial.
This visual evidence was presented to a federal court judge in Manhattan on Monday and released on Tuesday. They include photos of an AK-15 assault rifle federal agents retrieved from Tekashi's Brooklyn home in September. Stills from surveillance videos were also presented to place the rapper at the scene of multiple crimes.
Some of these images show 6ix9ine near gun blasts during a shooting at Barclays Center in Downtown Brooklyn on April 21, 2018. The entertainer was set to perform a fighter's entrance song at the venue before a boxing match. His associates and now co-defendants were present at this time and the group engaged in a confrontation with rivals. One person from Tekashi's crew "fired a round in the air," according to the feds.
Other photos link the rapper to another incident described as a gunpoint robbery of a rival gang on April 3, 2018. A picture of a backpack was also included in the documents. The bag was found at the "STOOPID" artist's home in September full of the robbery's "proceeds."
