A few weeks a go, Quavo released three solo singles which many presumed was packaged as an EP. While Huncho's denied that it's a project, he did say that "it's the alley-oop for the biggest slam dunk in the game."
It looks like Quavo is getting ready to prove himself as a solo artist in the near future. Quavo recently sat down with Angie Martinez to discuss his tour with Drake, making Jay-Z and Beyoncé's "Apeshit" and more. Of course, Angie had to inquire about the possibility of a solo Quavo project. The rapper didn't seem to want to speak on it too heavily but he did reveal that the three songs he recently dropped are a set up for something much bigger.
"That wasn't an EP. That was just some records," he said. "It's an alley-oop for the biggest slam dunk in the game."
The rapper said that the project is on the way but didn't confirm whether it's an album or an EP.
"It's gon' be crazy. It's too soon," he told Angie with a smirk on his face. "It's on the way."
After Angie Martinez suggested that he's the Migos' Beyoncé, Quavo went off to say that he feels like Offset and Cardi B are the "street" Jay-Z and Beyoncé. He also spoke on Kulture but when he was asked about if she looks more like her mother or father, Quavo jokingly said Offset and Cardi would kill him if he were to "spill the beans."
While he initially didn't reveal when to expect it, he later said that he has something special set for a September release. Additionally, he also said that the rest of the Migos also have solo projects on the way.
