Netflix warns: "You may find this show extremely hilarious or incredibly offensive."
In its latest additon to a library of stand-up comedy special and showcases, Netflix has rolled out its latest The Degenerates series, set to make its debut on the streamer on October 30th.
Divided into six 30-minute episodes, The Degenerates lineup is outfitted with comedians Joey Diaz, Big Jay Oakerson, Liza Treyger, Yamaneika Saunders, Brad Williams, and Christina P. In the new trailer for the show, the cast takes on a casino caper that would make Danny Ocean proud in promotion of the new series.
Degenerates follows behind similar projects such as The Standups and The Comedy Lineup. It marks Netflix's continued efforts to be the one-stop shop for your stand-up comedy needs. This year it particularly dominated the sector, becoming the home for specials from English, French, Spanish, German, Korean, and even Portuguese-speaking comedians, notably debuting specials from Chris Rock, Marlon Wayans, D.L. Hughley, and Kevin James among others. The streaming giant plans to close out the year with three more specials set to come from Adam Sandler, John Leguizamo, and Ellen Degeneres.
2019 will mark specials from names like Tiffany Haddish and Wanda Sykes and another stand-up series similar to Degenerates, Standups, and Comedy Lineup. While still untitled and undated, Netlfix has also secured future stand-up specials with the likes of Jerry Seinfeld, Ray Romano, Ricky Gervais, Ken Jeong, and Gabriel Iglesias.
