The Sooners QB is also an Oakland A's draft pick.

It appears as though Kyler Murray, the Heisman trophy winner who plays quarterback for the Oklahoma Sooners and was drafted by the Oakland A's of the MLB 9th overall back in June, is declaring for the NFL draft, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

This creates an interesting dynamic for the two-sport athlete. Heading to the draft doesn't mean he's going to decline his $4.66 million deal with the Athletics, however, it does appear as though Murray is looking to prioritize a career in the NFL.

“When you win the Heisman Trophy, you’re going to have a lot of information come to you to be looked at,” Murray agent Scott Boras told the Chronicle. “All I know is Kyler has a tremendous opportunity to be a great baseball player and he knows that. … He has every intention to be in spring training and advance that interest.”

According to the Chronicle, there are multiple conflicts heading into the NFL draft, as the NFL combine and A's training starts around the same time. At that point, Murray would have to make a decision on what sport he wants to play. A source told the Chronicle that it seems like Murray is looking more towards a career in football.

What sport do you think the quarterback should go with?
