Gase was fired 10 days ago by the Miami Dolphins.

As is usually the case during the NFL offseason, head coaches are coming and going. After being fired by the Miami Dolphins on December 31st, it appears as though Adam Gase will be landing on his feet soon, as the New York Jets are looking to hire him, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter and Jeff Darlington.

According to the report, the Jets reached out to Gase immediately after being fired by Miami. In three seasons with the Fins, Gase posted a losing record of 23-25, although he defeated the Jets in five of six meetings. Perhaps Gase's mastery of the green and white is what made them want to pursue him.

The report also states that Gregg Williams, the interim head coach of the Cleveland Browns, is being heavily considered for the defensive coordinator job. Vance Joseph, who was recently fired as the head coach of the Denver Broncos, is also being scouted for the position.
