The game of Nut Check was a popular locker room prank that jocks played on each other in high school. I can remember athletes tricking their friends into looking the other way so they could nut check them, resulting in a painful curling over into fetal position. Former NBA player Nick Young employed the infamous nut check method on a fan that took his picture, and now authorities are investigating the incident.
According to TMZ, the LAPD received a call on January 4th from a man who claimed he was assaulted by Young when he tried to take his photo at a popular car wash. The man admitted that Young told him not to take the picture, but he did so anyway. The photographer was not a part of paparazzi, but simply a Laker fan that recognized Young when he saw him. After the man took the photo, Young approached him and hit him in the testicles before swiping the phone carrying the picture. Police are investigating the incident, but no arrests have been made at the moment. Although assault should never be taken lightly, maybe this will serve as a warning shot for fans who think they can intrude on celebrities' personal space and solace when they see them out in the street.
